Before you write in
A few common issues are already covered in the docs and don't need a report:
- A registry lookup (WHOIS/RDAP) returning an intermittent error — some TLD registries, particularly
.io, are known to be unreliable from cloud data center IPs. See the WHOIS docs. - DKIM showing no selectors found — HostMortem checks 20 common selector names; a custom selector won't be detected by name. See the Email docs.
- A lower-than-expected security score — the Security docs break down exactly how the score is calculated so you can see which checks you're missing.
For anything else — a panel erroring out entirely, a scoring rule that looks wrong, a data source that's gone stale, or an idea for a check we don't run yet — email us. Step41 is a small team, so replies aren't instant, but every message gets read.
